Question: What is the difference between a 20, 40, 60, 80 gig playstation 3 console?

The only difference is how much memory you get but the 60 GB is the only one that is fully compatible with PS1 and PS2 games.

There just different memorys, if you like lots of games get 80 gig, if you just got one for small amounts of time, get 20 gig...

My friend told me that the 20 can't play ps2 games the 40 and 80 can play some and the 60 can play all i don't know if its true or not but that is all i know

It all depends on the generation it is 1st generation 60-80 gigs can play all ps1 and ps2 games also on top of the memory.sony changed the firmware so now all new ps3s cannot play ps1 and ps2 games so if i were you i would buy a new ps3 and get it customized so you can play older games

The 20 and 60 gig can play ps2 games the 40 and new 80 gig can't play ps2 games but they can play ps1 games (The old 80 gig could play ps2 and ps1 games but the one in stores now can't) the 20 gig doesn't have built in wifi the 20,40 and 60 GB models have all been discontinued
