Start a Online Business with $100 Or Less

If you’ve got $100 to spare, you’ve got more than enough money to start your own online business. How’s that for such a great opportunity in the middle of this challenging economy?

Obviously, if you’ve have more then one hundred dollars to invest in a online business, that’s even better – but you can most definitely do it for $100. The reason is that as you build up your online business, you’re going to need to spend a combination of time and money; with less money, you’ll just need to put more of your time into your business.

So here’s a way how you could get a online business up and running for $100 or less

1. Pick a niche – the market you want to reach. You can do your research for free by spending a afternoon on Barnes & Noble. Checking out the magazine racks, the “for Dummies” series of books, the “Chicken Soup” books. You’re looking for an idea that you can market around to people who will have a common interest or problem. You want to pick a market that spends money on this interest or problem.

If there are books or magazines for sale, you know you’ve got a very good chance of succeeding because you’ll be following in the footsteps of some company with deep pocket’s that did some very expensive market research before developing the product.

2. Do keyword research. You can use Google’s free keyword tool to find how people are searching for the information or products you’re wanting to market. You should develop a list of at least 100 keywords you want use in your marketing campaign’s.

3. Purchase a domain name and website hosting. This expense will differ depending on the domain/hosting company you choose, but should be around the neighborhood of $50 a year. If you can get a domain name that uses one of your keywords in it, that’s the ideal domain name.

4. Design your site. There are lots of ways you can build a site inexpensively – or by even using a free website template. Make sure you optimize your site by using the keyword’s you choose strategically. Go with a very clean, uncluttered appearance, and be sure to include a subscription box where you can collect your visitors’ contact information so you can star to build your list of subscribers.

5. Get an email service so you will be able to stay in touch with the people who subscribe to your newsletter. There are several options here, and many are very affordable when having a smaller list (fewer than 500 subscribers). You’ll need a service because if you try to send hundreds of emails through your normal email provider, you’re most definitely going to run into some serious problems.

6. If you don’t want the expense (time wise or money wise) of creating your very own product to sell, you can always promote affiliate products to your subscriber list. Each time a visitor clicks on one of your affiliate link’s and decade’s to make a purchase, you’ll get a share the proceeds from the merchant. It’s an easy way to get started with an internet business with out spending a lot of money.

7. Drive traffic to your website. There are a lot of ways you can drive free traffic to your site – such as using articles, press releases, blog posts, and videos. You may also venture into pay per click advertising to drive traffic to your site more quickly, but it will be an added expense. If you want to use free traffic only, it may take you a bit longer to start to make money with your online business, but it can most certainly be done. In fact, there are some very successful online marketers who use only free traffic methods for their business.

You can start a online business with $100 or less – it just takes a little more determination,hard work and focus than it would if you had thousands of dollars to spend. The most important thing is to follow a proven step-by-step system so you can make consistent forward progress and reach the goal of getting your first paycheck.

Once your site start’s producing cash, you should always invest some of it back into your business, try other tools and tactics, and always try to build it bigger and better. But by using these seven steps, you can at least have a idea on how to get started – and that’s the most important step of all.
